New Pictures

I have been bad about posting pictures lately so . . . here are some recent ones.

Will and Jake relaxing on my bed while I was writing an e-mail. This is a great shot because it is really hard to get both of them looking at the camera at the same time!It is hard to believe how big they are getting!

Will funnies

Will's vocabulary is exploding and he is talking and asking questions like crazy! Some of the things he comes up with are hilarious:

Will: What does your shirt say
Me: Property of America
Will: OH I don't like America cheese really well! (This makes me laugh so much because does not like processed cheeses like American or Velveeta. Only cheeses like Cheddar or Colby Jack even sandwiches)

Will had a yucky diaper and said, "Mommy what is in my diaper?" So I told him and he says Yuck! I don't like Dinah Rita! (sorry if this is a bit off color)

We have been teaching him to knock before he goes into a bathroom. So he will knock with his little fist and say, "Nobody's in there?" When there is no answer he will open the door and say, "Nobody in there Mommy" I suppose at one time I probably said you need to knock and make sure nobody is in there.

This is Happy

Some days life with two toddlers is trying at best. Some days I just want to sit down and cry, because of the overwhelming feeling of total inadequacy. Some days they don’t listen, they throw fits, and act quite unpleasant. And then there are moments like these when the give me a little kiss or a hug or say I love you Mommy. These sweet little moments refuel my heart and soul and help me to last through all of the other.

Getting out

Will has discovered that he can crawl out of his crib. I have suspected that he could do it for a while he just hadn't tried. So now when I go into his room to get him up he says. "Mommy I want to do it all by myself" so then he will proceed to climb out of his crib. He can get into his crib too it is just a little harder. He has to climb over the rail and then sort of fall onto the mattress. Here is the really funny part. . . he can climb out but doesn't unless given permission. Today I sent him to his "no nothing time out". Which is usually because we have put him into time out for whatever and then he starts throwing a fit on the step, he is unreasonable at this point and the thing that seems to have the most impact is going into his crib without his blankets, stuffed animal, or pillow -although sometimes I "forget" to take his pillow out. So back to the story I sent him to his "no nothing time out" and he proceeds to scream at the top of his lungs for a couple of minutes, which is normal and then silence. I figure he has gotten out of his crib and is probably laying on the floor with his blanket. So I go in to check on him and he is laying in his crib on his pillow that I "mistakenly" left in his crib. I guess he was just tired. I ask him if he wants to get up, he says"Mommy I want to get out of my crib by myself!" OK I am lucky to have a kid that is this good! Can it last???
