Jake is still taking 3 naps most days, so when it came to the evening of his birthday he was just about DONE. He was starting to fuss and when he gets tired he is not easily redirected he just wants to go to sleep. But we hadn't done the cake portion of the evening yet and you all know that, this is the best part of a 1 year old birthday party. I brought out the cake and set it on his high chair tray he dove right in grabbing frosting off of the cake. Once he had a piece of his own to eat he was completely happy. Jake has not been too excited about food to this point so to see him really enjoy this cake was fun for everyone. He is so messy, but it was adorable to watch him smoosh the cake everywhere!
