Will Funny

Today I put Will up on the changing table. The changing table is in front of the windows; however, the blinds are usually down. Today they were up because is was a nice warm day and I had the window open to let a little fresh air in for nap time. Will turns his head toward the window and the sun hits him in the eye he quickly turns his head aways and says, "Mommy the sun's too shiny! It pokes me in the eye!"

Spring Weather

We have finally started to have some wonderful weather! Sunday 70. Monday 74. Today 70's so nice to be able to open the windows and smell the sweet spring air. Is air really sweeter in the Spring or is it just because you haven't been able to have the windows open in so long that it seems sweeter? Either way it is nice. We also had a wonderful rain last night. The kind that lasts for hours and lulls you to sleep with the sound of rain drops hitting the roof. . . I had missed this kind of rain, plus of living in a wetter climate I suppose!

Boys and their trucks

When we left our house I had to leave behind the boys rooms which were painted with murals, sky, clouds, etc. I am not a great mural painter but I did like their rooms. I have been trying to decide what to do in their new rooms. Do I want to make new murals or make some art to hang on their walls in photoshop. Then I saw these wonderful pages by Melanie aka Britgirl and had to give it a try! This truck kit it perfect for my guys right now.

New Big, Big Truck

I love the fact that Tonka makes trucks for boys . . . for boy type play and tough enough to handle being a stool, a truck a hauler, etc. We purchased this new big, big truck this weekend- it just happened to be on sale! The boys have been playing with it almost none stop since we got it. Will loves to pretend with it, get out his tools and fix it, go to "work in the shop", or to the "grocery store" with it. He has to get all dressed up in his fancy tie and a hat. Jake likes to ride it but has also discovered that it make a great stool from acquiring items that he wants from high places. I discourage this because is has wheels and doesn't not make a good stool! Oh and it also make really cool noises that they LOVE! Yea Tonka! I am sure this will not be our last big. big truck!

All about me pages

Here are the two latest in the series of all about me pages from an online chat at Designer digitals. What a great way to start thinking about the things you believe and get onto a scrapbook page!
The first layout is done off of a prompt asking you to describe your personality, how people see you, how you see yourself, etc.
This Layout was done use in the prompt: In what period of time would you like to live, how would your life be different, etc. I do love many periods in history but well you can read the journaling for yourself:
The thought of visiting or living in another time has always fascinated me. Who would I be? What would my beliefs be about different times in history while living in them instead of reading about them? The ability to see historical events first hand, meet and talk to the historical figures that have impacted our world and made it what it is today. Then I am reminded of the fact that I am a woman and women were not highly looked upon in many days past and the likelihood of being able to break bread with these great leaders is slim. No I think I am very blessed to have been born in a time and in a country where I am not persecuted for my religious beliefs or political opinions. Where I have the right to disagree with my neighbor, my husband, or even my political leaders. I know that many people like to find things to complain about and are doing a lot of it with elections coming up and the economy slowing, but that is the beauty of this country we are free! Free to worship God, free to live and prosper, free to disagree, free! I am proud to be an American in such a time as this and I wouldn't change my place in history for anything!

8 Ransom Observations for the Week

Toll House Chocolate chip cookies are much better with 3 cups of chocolate cookies rather than the recommended 2 cups (UMMMM we will need to wait a while before baking those again they went way too fast and we all ate too many!!)

Snow/ freezing rain/ ice/ wind is not that fun in April when we had gotten a taste of Spring and were just getting used to playing outside!

Your Toddler may watch too much Disney Channel when he can name all of the Mickey Mouse and Tigger and Pooh characters without hesitating!

A tired cuddly toddler makes all of the frustrating time completely worthwhile.

New life Church does worship too well and I am spoiled, but being able to buy their Cd's helps console me!

Driving home from the grocery store and having too stop as three HUGE wild turkeys cross the rode is seriously cool!

A husband who encourages you to digital scrapbook, just because you love it, is the best (well maybe it is also because it gives him time to play video games but that is not really the point of this random observation)

God is good. . . all the time!

Church??

For those of you who were wondering we are wondering. . . The church we went to on Sunday was nice. But I think probably not the one. We have another one in line for this Sunday so we will see this really only makes number 4 so really not that bad all things considered, it seems like more!
